Simferopol (Russian: Симферополь, Crimean Tatar: Aqmescit, Ukrainian: Сімферополь) is the capital of the Republic of Crimea, a federal subject[wp] of the Russian Federation. The city has a population of 337,285 and is the centre of the Simferopol District[wp], but is not itself part of that district.
